Born on the Bayou, way south of New Orleans, Karen (a Cherokee Indian and
mostly
French mix) was unique from the start. Her adventurous spirit and wondrous
curiosity led her to buy a one way ticket to Europe. Starting with only
200 dollars in her pocket she lived in Paris, France, and Cologne, Germany
for 4 years. I know what you are asking yourself: what kind of adventures did
this Bayou Girl have? Well our girl Karen was a go go dancer for
the Beatles on a German television special. We don't even ask her how
she learned to speak German so fluently without ever studying it.
So why was Karen eager to become a Hyperspace Cowgirl? While a total
newcomer to New Media, she is uniquely experienced in the issues of women
and girls. Working with with facially disfigured children and adults
has been a calling of Karen's. She even developed a line of cosmetic
products to
serve their unique needs. She has also traveled globally for a major
cosmetic company as Executive Director of Education. Karen is currently on
the Board of Directors for the Women's Project and Productions, a theater
group supporting women writers and directors. Karen says, "I am excited to
be part of a company that inspires girls to be all they can be as women."
